About
A note from the person who started HammerHand.
I didn't come to this from software — I came to it from the tools. I worked as a hammer hand.
And on the job, you see it: how much of the day gets eaten by friction. The double-handling, the records and paperwork that pile up for after hours, the write-ups that take longer than the work did. The tools meant to help were never built by anyone who'd stood in the mud — so they missed where the time actually goes.
So I built the offsider I wish I'd had. Talk the job through while you're standing in it, let the AI do the write-up, and keep the sign-off — and the authority — with the person who did the work. It drafts. You decide. Nothing it suggests becomes a finding until you've verified it.
That's why it's called HammerHand — the extra pair of hands on site. Yours.
The line that never bends
Nothing an algorithm proposes becomes an official finding until a person has verified it.
The AI does the typing. The human keeps the authority. How it's built
Voice-first
Talking through a crawlspace beats typing in one. You describe the job; the AI drafts the write-up.
Offline-first
No signal, no problem — capture everything on site, and it syncs when you're back in range.
Human-verified
Nothing an algorithm proposes becomes an official finding until you've checked it and signed it off.
What we believe
The inspector is the professional of record.
- Every finding should trace to its evidence, the standard it was judged against, and the person who signed it off.
- Scope and limitations are part of the report — not fine print bolted on the back.
- "Insufficient evidence — further investigation" is an honest answer, not a failure. We'll never fake a conclusion to look complete.
- Your client data is yours — treated with genuine care, and it stays in New Zealand.
Built in Aotearoa
Made here, for the way the job actually works.
HammerHand is made in New Zealand, for New Zealand standards — Healthy Homes and NZS 4306 to start — with your data hosted onshore. It's voice-first because talking through a crawlspace beats typing in one, and offline-first because that's where the work happens. Built for inspectors and the trades who run the job — not for a boardroom that's never smelled a damp subfloor.
Spend the evening with your family, not your keyboard.
